Vintage Design
A wonderful pair of antique Regency period solid elm armchairs, made in England and dating from around the 1810-1820 period.
They are of fine quality and are a lovely, petite size. The frames are solid wood which appears to be elm, though it could be yew wood or another light coloured wood. They have a beautiful design with curvaceous back rests and ebonised spindle supports. They stand on nicely tapered legs with brass feet caps.
We have had them re-polished and re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. They are in good condition, with a wonderful patina and a few historical repairs here and there.
