These 18th century hand blown drinking glasses are uniquely individual and very collectable.
This wine glass is hand blown from English lead glass. It is heavy and has a soft grey color. The glass has the usual striations, inclusions and tiny bubbles you would expect to see in 18th century glass, which gives these glasses their unique charm, with no two glasses being the same.
The glass has a beautifully drawn trumpet bowl which continues into a thick solid stem enclosing a very decorative heart shaped tear and leading to a good wide conical foot having a rough snapped-off pontil mark to the underside.
There are no chips, cracks or any evidence of restoration though the glass does have some scratches from use to the underside of the foot. Please see images.
