circa 1800 Extra Large Antique Original Paint German Blanket Chest Coffer Trunk

I have recently purchased a very large collection of these original, antique painted wardrobes and trunks, I have around 15 wardrobes and 20 trunks in total, each one totally different, this sale is for the piece listed above with all others being listed under my other items

This one is an exceptionally good looking well made and collectable piece, the hand painted detailing is exquisite throughout, this one as mentioned is an extra large, it has Acanthus leaves painted to the front and top with oversized campaign handles to the sides

Condition wise this chest has all the original paint, finish and hardwear, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect, all of which add to the honesty, charm and charisma of the wardrobe

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
