George III Brass Bound Mahogany Wine Cooler or Cellaret,
Third-quarter of 18th century
The George III brass-bound mahogany wine cooler or cellaret (also known as a cellarette) is of oval form, with two brass bands and substantial shaped oval handles, and a brass liner. The cellaret rests on a period stand which is beautifully carved and in good condition. There has been some age shrinkage as is typical.
Dimensions: 25 inches high x 18, inches deep x 28 inches wide.
