Beautiful set of two Urushi bento with accompanying serving spoon in the original wooden box.
The two wooden round boxes have lids and were used for storing and presenting rice, dried tea, and other foods. The interior is beautifully lacquered in vermillion (Urushi technique), while the exterior is black/dark brown. The serving spoon is crafted in the same technique. The set includes the original paulownia wooden box with a metal handle.
This was used to easily transport and store the chabitsu.
An authentic and traditional Japanese set, perfect as decorative storage boxes. Dimensions of the wooden box: height 30 cm, width 28 cm, depth 28 cm.
